On June 17, CFPI will be hosting “International Solidarity Now: A gathering for a more just Canadian foreign policy.”

Save your spot for what is sure to be a rousing evening featuring presentations from Leap co-founder Avi Lewis, Halifax poet El Jones and legendary Toronto organizer John Clarke on the importance of internationalism and activism. The live event will also feature short presentations from more than a dozen brilliant organizations like MiningWatch Canada, Project Ploughshares and Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, who will highlight how they are helping to build a more just Canadian foreign policy.

The date marks the anniversary of Canada’s defeat in its bid for a seat on the UN Security Council. Over the past year there has been growth in critical foreign policy discussion & activism. But, much more is required to win fundamental change. “International Solidarity Now!” is a gathering of antiwar, mining justice & international solidarity organizations that aims to connect, strengthen and amplify our collective efforts. Join us & learn about Canada's movement for a foreign policy based on peace, human rights and care for the planet.
